GP’s are being asked- do they wish to carry out assisted suicide on their patients.

53,000 GP’s will be asked by the Royal College of General Practitioner’s whether they wish to be given the right to carry out assisted suicide on their patients.  They will have until 13th December to submit their answer.

Distant Voices have contacted Shropshire Disability Network to ask us to make you aware that your GP will be asked about this, so that you have the opportunity to tell your GP whether you think they should be given the right to carry out assisted suicide on their patients..

Distant Voices say “We are aware that just about everyone has a view on this and just about everyone has been asked what their opinion is. Everyone but us, the people, the ones who it will most affect.

THE DISTANT VOICES and their friends at ALERT (Defending Vulnerable People’s Right to Live) have come together to share a publication about this subject. They want you to know more about assisted suicide, it’s right and proper that you know the truth.

1000’s of publications have gone out, don’t be excluded, because if you’re old, or disabled, or poorly in any way, you could be included without your permission, this has, and is happening. Here is a quote from M.P. David Davies, he, “Isn’t sure the “enormous expense” to keep older people alive is justifiable.”

So, to have a chance to speak in a safe and productive way, simply read this publication below and sign your name on the back. Give it to your GP, you don’t need to justify your decision just your signature is enough hopefully to influence your doctors’ vote and to keep you safe”.
