Into the Light from Highflyers Dance Company

Six dancers from Highflyers Dance Company invited cameras into their homes during lockdown, to witness and capture their dances, their selves, their strengths and vulnerabilities and connection through dance. Being members of Highflyers Dance Company opened a window for the dancers during lockdown to dance together, witness each other, laugh and find human connection. The dancers also shared their home, families, pets and mementos, the connection of dance supported the dancers to move with grace and strength ‘into the light’

Watch the short film by clicking this linkhttps://vimeo.com/489772149

Highflyers Youth Dance Company is for young people aged 11-19 years, together we explore dance, learn new skills, express our creativity, make art and have fun. If you are interested in joining please email Anna Belyavin to this address [email protected]

We thank Shropshire Inclusive Dance for asking that we share this film with our members. For more information about Shropshire Inclusive Dance, click here https://sidance.live/
